Welcome to the Western Colorado Landscape Collaborative!

- Healthy lands for healthy communities

Can you imagine life without our colorful aspen forests, recreational trails, and abundant clean running rivers?  Did you know that in just a day’s drive from Montrose you can visit over 3 million acres of public lands?

In western Colorado our quality of life is dependent on the health of our natural lands. The Western Colorado Landscape Collaborative (WCLC) is an umbrella organization that supports a large array of programs and projects aimed at improving the health of our natural lands.

Our goal is to come together and work synergistically to support diverse, healthy and viable environments, communities and economies western Colorado.

Our partners include:

  • US Forest Service – Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre & Gunnison National Forests
  • Bureau of Land Management – Uncompahgre & Grand Junction Field Offices
  • Southwest Region of CO Parks & Wildlife
  • Rocky Mountain Region of Western Area Power Administration
